A beautiful authentic antique Kazakh pendant with fire gilding, made in the early 20^th century.

This outstanding high quality large piece has traditional Kazakh silver decoration with fine silver work raised motifs and genuine granulation. The oval surface of the pendant is lightly gilded and has a lovely aged patina. Elaborate motifs adorn the raised surface.

Under the raised glass elements is red paper/foil as is common with old Kazakh jewellery. This was used to mimic more expensive jewels such as carnelian.

Wear commensurate with age. A highly collectible rare piece of ethnic adornment for the discerning collector.
