Antique Tibetan Hair Ornament Pendant & Silver Chain
Antique high-grade silver natural turquoise pendant, originally worn as a hair ornament in Tibet. Over time it has had a bail added to it to make this beautiful wearable pendant. The turquoise stone is set into a conch shell shaped element which was attached to a pangor headdress, along with many other turquoise and coral beaded elements. This style of headdress was worn by the women of Tsang, Tibet. A beautiful pendant with lovely patina and history. It is accompanied by a silver chain.
