Old Tunisian Silver Amulet Pendant

A high-grade silver circular amulet pendant, made in Djerba, Tunisia in the 1950s. It has open fretwork and at the centre is a star, possibly representing the Seal of Solomon. It was most likely worn as an amulet as perceived protection from illness and danger, sometimes added to a fibula as the central element.
