This old high-grade silver khamsa was made in the coastal town of Essaouira, Morocco, in the 1950s. It has a scrolling design with an interesting second stylised hamsa within. An unusual khamsa with a ram's head hallmark, indicating authenticity and purity of silver. Genuine old khamsa such as this one are now increasingly difficult to find in Morocco.
