A striking and unusual large vintage high-grade silver boghdad cross amulet with rich blue enamelling and raised granulation. At the centre is a raised dome. This beautiful cross was crafted in Tiznit, the jewellery-making capital of Morocco.

The workmanship on this piece is exquisite and it is in very good condition. The silver is of a very high quality.

It is likely to have been used as an amulet, offering perceived protection from harm to the wearer or it may have been used as a wall decoration in a home as it is a good size.
