Vintage Tuareg Jewellery from Mali & Niger | Vintage Ethnic Jewellery

Tuareg Jewellery

The Tuareg are a semi-nomadic people of the Sahara and Sahel, spread across Mali, Niger, Algeria, Libya and Burkina Faso, long known to outside traders as the ‘Blue Men’, and among themselves as kel tagelmust, the people of the veil.

Tuareg jewellery is unmistakable: hand-worked silver in distinct shapes such as crosses, moons and mosques, often finely engraved with intricate geometric designs.

Our Tuareg collection brings together vintage and antique pieces sourced primarily from Mali and Niger – necklaces, khomissar amulets, tisek and mosque rings, hair rings, and occasional Mauritanian and Saharawi pieces from the wider Saharan region.
