Vintage Fulani/Hausa Tribal Ring, African Sahel

£190.00

A large and heavy high-grade silver tribal ring worn by both the Fulani people (also known as Peul, Fulbe) and the Hausa people of the African Sahel (Nigeria, Niger and Mali). It is an old ring, made circa 1940s, and has a copper inlay design on the head of the ring and intricate decoration around the outside. It has a lovely serrated double band. This ring has a lovely worn patina, attesting to its age. Impressive, beautiful, and unusual. The last photo is of a similar rings in the MAP Museum, Marrakech.
