Pendants

Pendants, small hanging ornaments worn as amulets, symbols of status, or simply as beautiful objects, appear across almost every tradition we work with. This collection gathers pendants from across our range: Amazigh (Berber) khamsa from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia; kitab amulet boxes from the Moroccan Anti-Atlas; Himalayan and Tibetan silver and turquoise pendants, Central Asian pectorals and Turkmen asyk; Occasionally we also have newer pieces that grab our attention.

Some pieces here also appear in more specific collections – a khamsa is both a khamsa and a pendant; a kitab is both an amulet and a pendant. And some pieces genuinely belong in more than one collection because that's how they were made and worn: certain Tuareg and Amazigh pieces are designed to be worn as pendant, ring or hair ornament, and appear across the relevant categories accordingly.
