A striking and unusual large vintage high-grade silver boghdad cross amulet with rich blue enamelling and raised granulation. At the centre is a raised dome. This beautiful cross was crafted in Tiznit, the jewellery-making capital of Morocco. The workmanship on this piece is exquisite and it is in very good condition. Previously, it is likely to have been used as an amulet, offering perceived protection from harm to the wearer or to the home in which it was hung.
