This quality high-grade silver Tuareg cross pendant was made in Niger in the 1960s. It features granulation, engraving and two raised decorative elements, and is very unusual. Leaf-shaped dangles are suspended near the top of the cross.

Tuareg crosses are traditionally passed down through generations and serve as protective amulets. They are a symbol of Tuareg identity. This cross is collectible and also wearable if desired.
