A beautiful old kitab amulet, made in the Ida ou Nadif tribal region of Morocco. This region is known for its intricate silver work, including niello decoration, detailed engraving and the addition of glass cabochons. All are displayed beautifully in this old kitab amulet. The decorative silver sheet is applied to the brass amulet, which also has an engraved design, front and back. A highly collectible piece with lovely patina.
