Rare Antique Silver Trarza ‘Boghdad’ Cross, Mauritania
£50.00
A rare antique high-grade silver boghdad cross made in the late 1800s, from the area of Boultilimit in the Trarza region of Mauritania. This very small cross has fine granulation and decorative silver work. It also has lovely patina which we have chosen to preserve.
The cross would have been made and worn by the Saharan people who lived in the Trarza region of south-west Mauritania. A very collectible unique piece.
