An old high-grade silver Hindu plaque amulet, known as a ‘patri’, made in the 1960s in Rajasthan, India. These are worn for protection and to attract good fortune. They often feature depictions of deities or local heroes. This repoussé plaque features the goddess Durga riding a lion. She is the goddess of power, strength and protection. This pendant has lovely patina due to years of wear.
