Old Tuareg Egourou Cross Necklace from In-Gall, Niger
£220.00
This beautiful 1960s silver Tuareg egourou cross is on its original glass-beaded chain and is reversible with a hand-etched design on both sides.
It originates from the Tuareg people of In-Gall, Niger where this type of cross is worn as a protective pendant and is believed to ward off any harm. It is also a symbol of identity and belonging.
A stunning long tribal necklace which is beautifully made. It is not a tourist item but rather a quality old and original piece. Very collectible.
