An elaborate old Berber amulet box (kitab) from the Anti-Atlas region of Ida ou Semlal, Morocco, made approximately 100 years ago by hand. It is made of high-grade silver mounted on brass and has an intricate hand-engraved design. This hollow box would have been worn as an amulet believed to protect the wearer from all harm. This amulet is in excellent vintage condition.
