Small Antique Taliouine Pendant, Morocco
A small antique Amazigh (Berber) pendant likely to be from the Taliouine/Ighil n'Oghou region of Morocco, made by Jewish silversmiths in the 1920s.
The distinctive shape is outlined in fine filigree work punctuated with elegant granulation. Traces remain of the traditional coloured powdered enamel used by craftsmen in this region of Morocco. At the centre is an original red glass cabochon. The bail is integrated into the design of the pendant, it is not an added piece.
A very old high-grade silver piece, collectible and wearable.
