A stunning pair of vintage silver fibulae made in the Essaouira region of Morocco in the 1990s. These traditional triangular shaped fibulae symbolise the female form, fertility and protection against ‘the evil eye’. They would have been used as brooches to attach clothing together.

Each fibula features intricate attractive filigree work – fine silver wires soldered onto the base plate – and each is adorned with silver granulation, showcasing the traditional metalwork techniques of Morocco.

These fibulae are a matching pair and are in good vintage condition. Very collectible.
