Pair of vintage fibulae from Aït Semmeg, High Atlas, Morocco - RARE
£195.00
These rare silver (tested) fibulae were made in Aït Semmeg in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco circa 1940. A mould was used to produce the decorative scroll effect, heavily influenced by the Jewish silversmiths of nearby Essaouira. They are adorned with bezel-set Mediterranean coral. A beautiful collector’s item.
