Vintage Moroccan Gilded Silver 'Hand of Fatima' Khamsa (Hamsa)
This old silver khamsa pendant was made in the coastal town of Essaouira, Morocco, in the 1940s. Its open fretwork is lightly gold washed and has some wear commensurate with age. The central stone is bezel-set aventurine (green quartz). Hallmarked. Slight damage to the rear which doesn't show through to the front. Lovely pendant in good vintage condition. Genuine old khamsa such as this one are now increasingly difficult to find in Morocco. This beautiful pendant will be supplied with a simple leather cord so you can wear it straight away.
