Vintage Moroccan Berber Hamsa (Khamsa) Pendant
A vintage pendant from the 1960s made by the Ait Hadiddou tribe in the region of the Dadès valley, that is known as 'porte du paradis' (doorway to heaven). This moulded pendant has an attractive floral pattern. It is a form of hamsa often used as an amulet to protect the wearer from harm. Interesting and unusual old pendant. Genuine old items such as this one are now increasingly difficult to find in Morocco.
