Vintage Moroccan Berber Hamsa Pendant
A vintage pendant from the 1960s made by the Ait Hadiddou tribe in the region of the Dadès valley. It is known as porte de paradis (doorway to heaven). The floral pattern is chiselled onto the base. It is a form of stylised hamsa often used as an amulet to protect the wearer from harm. Interesting and unusual old pendant.
