Old Silver Moroccan Temporal Adornment, Ouezzane, Rif Mountains
A beautiful old pair of high-grade silver Moroccan temporal adornment, hallmarked with a ram’s head indicating they were made after 1925, and stamped as Fes/Ouezzane region (see last photo). Worn as a pair, these would have been attached to a woollen headband by the needle at the very top of the temporal. The silver on the main element is very finely etched. The long dangles are adorned with glass beads and chased silver plaques. A lovely matching pair of temporals with some wear due to age.
