Antique Moroccan Silver & Enamel Headdress from Ighil N’Ogho, Taliouine - Rare


A rare stunning antique headdress from Ighil N’Ogho, Taliouine, Morocco, made by Jewish silversmiths, experts in their trade. It was made in the early 19th century. The plate that rests on the forehead shows beautiful intricate silver workmanship, as does the circular head ornament. They are decorated with yellow, green and blue enamel synonymous with this region of Morocco. A lovely piece for the discerning collector. Wear commensurate with age.
