Antique Silver Kitab Amulet, Ida ou Semlal, Morocco
An elaborate old Berber amulet box (kitab) from the anti-Atlas region of Ida ou Semlal, Morocco, made approximately 100 years ago by hand. It is made of high-grade silver (tested) mounted on brass and has an intricate hand-engraved design. It would have contained Qu’ranic verses believed to protect the wearer. This amulet is in excellent vintage condition.
