They would have been worn attached to a woman’s veil on either side of her head. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe temporals are made of gilded silver (some of the gilding is now worn through age) and feature a hand engraved floral design. Each hoop has four figure of eight dangles symbolising eternity and is adorned with coloured cut crystal glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom each dangle is suspended a large Mediterranean coral bead set into fine silver casing. The total weight of the coral alone is approximately 40g! The coral is clean and absolutely stunning.
