Old traditional tcherot amulet, made by Tuareg people in Niger, West Africa, circa 1970. It has an iron base with brass central element, further embellished with incised tribal patterns on silver plaques (tested). This amulet box would have contained verses from the Qur'an, believed to afford protection to the wearer. A collectible piece.
