Old Silver Yemen Hair Ring – Large

£130.00

A beautiful old, large, silver Yemeni ring, made in the 1950s. It was most probably worn as a decorative hairpiece in a woman’s tresses. It is very decorative with filigree and granulation work and is adorned with a red glass bead. The colour red is worn for perceived protection in this area of the world. Rings such as this were considered a symbol of beauty and status. This ring is in lovely vintage condition. A collector's item. Last photo taken in the MAP Museum, Marrakech.
